The trailer is dominated by white people, with the protagonist being white herself shown as powerful. This is what our society today would picture however this challenges the stereotype as the world is mostly ran by men so having a female protagonist is somewhat unusual. The black man, Luke, who is seen throughout the trailer many times challenges the stereotype as he is the 'good guy' because he wants to help Jessica through her pain and try to understand her while providing vital information. He appears as a police man which goes against the stereotype of black men being dangerous but instead fighting crime and following the law. The trailer focuses on the Jessica because her voice over is telling the story but we know that the antagonist is also white.
For Jessica, the representation is dominant portrayal as she is the one leading the story and also same with Luke. However for the antagonist Kilgrave, he is the alternative representation as we'd expect a male man to be a saviour of a story then the villain although we see many white male men being antagonists in films.
At 0:04 we see a white female throwing a man through a door window.
At 0:25 seconds in we see an 2 Asian men kicking another man on the floor.
At 1:08 we see a white female trying to help her friend from thinking about the past.
