The Mockingjay ideology describes the broadcasting of media and the influence in has on society. In the example of the hunger games where society is influenced by its leader and follows the rules they have been set specifically. This is the ideology of mass media and they way in which it is being televised and later consumed by the users. In the film where the hunger games is aired through the districts and people can watch the games live which is the way in which the media can manipulate its audiences and make them feel less superior by watching all the deaths on a screen which should encourage them to follow the rules and not start a revolution. The same applies to media in the real world where we see news station airing certain stories to create and ideology that will not cause anyone to go above questioning it.

- Women should behave in feminine ways, and look after their appearance.
All of these ideologies are accepted by society however are sometimes forced upon us with either violence or coercion by the government or military which is not always the best way to do things.
